POLICIES

LATE POLICY

Piercing appointments are generally short and being more than 5 minutes late may cause delay for clients coming in after you. If a client is more than 10 minutes late, they will be welcomed as a walk-in. Walk-ins are first come first serve. Our piercers do our best to accommodate walk-ins, however there is no guarantee that the client will be attended to within their originally booked time frame.

Please text us ahead of time, at (808) 913-4745, if you believe you are going to arrive late. We understand life is hectic and with open communication, we are always willing to do our best to accommodate you.

CANCELLATION

We accept cancellations via text, email, direct message, or call without issue up until the day before your scheduled appointment.

If a client causes a No-Call-No-Show twice then that client will no longer be able to schedule appointments with our studio. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment time will be considered No-Call No-Show appointments. You are, of course, still welcome to come in as a walk-in! We take walk-ins daily on a first-come-first-serve basis.

All of our piercers have regular clientele that are wanting appointment times. We appreciate your cooperation in booking appointment times only when you feel fairly certain you will be able to attend.

PIERCINGS FOR MINORS

At Kirakira Piercing we believe that bodily autonomy is important, even before adulthood, and are honored that parents and guardians trust us to work with their young ones!

While we absolutely want everyone to have the piercings that they envision for themselves we believe that there are times when these piercings can be dangerous, inappropriate, or against our ethics as a company and as individuals. We set age restrictions on certain piercing placements based on these considerations and ask that parents and guardians respect our professional recommendations.

Exceptions may be made for certain minors who have completely healed advanced/long-healing piercings such as the ear cartilage. However, we still reserve the right to refuse service if we believe the procedure is not age-appropriate, often because of the difficulty of the heal, because it may not be compatible with the minor's lifestyle or future goals, or because of our company ethics.

We require that minors have their consent form filled out by a parent or a legal-guardian. We require a photo-ID for the parent/guardian. For minors we require a birth certificate or a photo-ID that lists their full name and birthday. For guardians we require the presentation of a court order or letter proving legal guardianship over the minor. The parent or legal-guardian who filled out the consent form must be present during the actual piercing procedure. This is for everyone's safety and we apologize for any inconvenience.

REFUNDS

We are unable to offer refunds on services, aftercare, or jewelry. We love to work within a comfortable budget for our clients! In order to do so, we rely on clients to communicate about their preferences. Upon signing our consent form, clients assume responsibility for this communication.

Exceptions may be made under special circumstances. Any requests for a refund may be directed toward Kylie Kim. She can be reached through text message at (808) 913-4745 and direct message on instagram @kyliestabs. Emails will also be replied to, however it may take 3-5 business days for a client to receive a reply via email.

JEWELRY WARRANTIES AND LOSS

All of our jewelry, with the exception of standard jewelry and Invictus titanium, are covered under our Jewelry Warranty. This warranty covers damage to your pieces! We will be able to replace your piece at no charge or send it out for repairs and reinstall it, also free of charge. In order to access our warranty benefits we require that the piece to be shown to us in person. Kirakira Piercing Company reserves the right to require proof of purchase in the form of a receipt.

We are a small business and cannot cover the loss or theft of jewelry pieces. If a jewelry piece is lost or stolen and unable to be shown to our staff in-person and presented in order to sent for repairs, we are unfortunately unable to provide a refund or any other kind of compensation.

Exceptions may be made under special circumstances. Any requests may be directed toward Kylie Kim. She can be reached through text message at (808) 913-4745 and direct message on instagram @kyliestabs.

APPROPRIATE DRESS

At Kirakira Piercing Company we value our clients and our staff! We care about the comfort and well-being of all parties involved and of everyone who walks into our studio.

In order to better serve this goal we require that clients cover private parts of the body that are not being pierced. For navel piercings our preference is that clients wear a top and a bottom. If a dress is worn, we require that clients wear undergarments in order that our piercers are comfortable during the procedure. While we perform services for intimate areas such as nipple and genital piercings, the piercers who are performing these procedures are aware of the level of nudity that is required and by accepting the appointment are consenting to the required level of exposure. Outside of these exceptions we appreciate that clients respect our piercers and come into the studio appropriately dressed.

If a client arrives and is found to not be wearing appropriate dress we reserve the right to refuse service for the comfort of our staff. Thank you for your understanding.
